ioModule
The KT-MOD-IO16 is an add-on module for the KT-400, and the KT-1 controllers. The RS-485 board has 16 inputs/outputs that you can configure in banks of four from EntraPass. You can define the module as inputs, relays, or as an elevator. There is an option to use terminals 9 - 12 as SPI relays in addition to the current 32 SPI relay modules defined in the SPI tab.
Furthermore, a full status review of the ioSmart reader and the ioModule is available from the controller they are connected to. For more information see, Module status.
A new icon in the controller menu facilitates finding unassigned modules. For more information see, ioModule.
We have used the same functionality to find unassigned ioModules as we use for ioSmart readers. For more information, see Requesting unassigned modules.
To assist administration requirements, a new ioModule tab is available to view firmware parameters, for more information, see ioModules.
For compatibility, you must use the latest firmware on the KT-1 and KT-400 controllers.
Audit trail
For faster auditing and troubleshooting, we have added a new audit feature. Audit reports are available based on cards, components, and operators.
The audit functionality provides a detailed report on who made changes, and when the changes occurred to a card, or to a component. Detailed information includes some of the following: the type of change, the menu that was changed, the number of fields changed, the name of the GUI field, the value before the change, the value after the change, and the data type. The Audit icon is available in any menu where you can edit a card or a component, and the operator based report is under the system menu. For more information, see Card audit trail, and Activity report.
Additional card information fields
EntraPass Corporate Edition now has 20 information fields available, as ten additional fields have been added. Information fields have editable labels, and are useful for storing information regarding the cardholder, for example, department, address, employee number. For more information, see Issuing a new card.
User last accessed door
We have added an additional field to the user card report. Last access is now an option in the print selected fields area of the print card window. If selected, three additional columns appear in the report: last door accessed, last used date and time, and last event message. For more information, see Card printing.
Unique ID to import and export cards
To improve the import/export feature for card information, we have added UniqueID to the available fields list. When you create your import pattern, and select UniqueID, you can import without a card number. You can also delete users without a card number. For more information, see Creating a new import/export pattern.
Round badge images
We have enhanced the template properties for badge design. Two new options are available, the first is the standard rectangular image with rounded corners, and the second is a round or ellipse shaped image. For more information see, Badges designing.
Display user display fields in the access level links
We have added an additional field to primary links in the access level module. Prior to 8.10, the primary links showed a list of all cardholders who have access to the selected access level. To assist recognition, the user can add a column for the card information fields, with the ability to select any one of the card information fields of the users. EntraPass maintains your selection to ensure it is available for subsequent logins.
Remove compressed backup options
Due to admin settings restricting correct execution of the self-extracting compressed backup file, we removed this option from the data, archive, in/out, and video backups, and the backup scheduler. Use the separate files backup instead. For more information see, Backups.
Prevent conflict of versions in backup data
To avoid restoring the incorrect data version and creating database conflicts, when an operator is restoring a data backup, EntraPass validates the first two digits of the version and if the version the operator is restoring is different to the current version of the software, it displays a message instructing the operator to ensure that the versions match. This is available for all backup types. For more information, see Restores.
Hide thumbnail images from information fields
To facilitate different security levels requirements, EntraPass offers the ability to hide card information fields from view. Thumbnail images for operators and users now have this functionality and you can choose to see pictures only when needed. If the setting is set to none, the image thumbnail displays in the top right corner of the user and operator page. For more information see, Hiding card information.
Personalize the welcome message
To personalize the user's experience you can customize the welcome e-mail that EntraPass sends for new users and operators. For situations when you need to disable an operator, you can also write a message to explain why.
Close acknowledgement screen when alarm is acknowledged
To eliminate multiple responses in a multiple workstation setup, the notification windows automatically close on the other workstations, when someone acknowledges the alarm. For more information, see Application status.
8 Assa-Abloy wireless locks per KT-1
Due to the continued success of the KT-1, the one-door controller can now support eight Assa-Abloy wireless locks. The addition of six wireless locks reduces the installation costs by minimizing the amount of controllers required for large volumes of wireless locks, and the labour required to fit them.
Run activity report from user screen
A new icon in cards generates a new report for a card's last transactions. This quick report is in addition to the existing list found in the message desktop but provides more report options with unlimited results. For more information, see Activity report.
Added the Simplex 4007ES to our integration range and simplified integration names and descriptions in the GUI
The simplex 4007ES fire panel has been added to the list of fire panels that EntraPass integrates with. Additionally, to make installation easier when integrating with intrusion or fire panels, we have rewritten the drop-down text and the description for all DLL types. For more information, see Integrated panel configuration.
Sybase update
To enable all EntraPass applications to run on Windows Server 2016, and Windows Server 2019, we have updated to the latest Sybase database.
Database cleanup
We have improved the efficiency of the Sybase database by adding functions to automatically perform a clean-up, and pack files that reach a certain size. Additionally EntraPass will automatically delete large card records that have not been modified in five years.
Windows server 2019 compatibility
EntraPass is now compatible with Windows Server 2019 Standard. For more information, see Minimum system requirements.
Print access levels directly in PDF format
When you want to print access levels, you now have the option to save the access level to a PDF format and a CSV file format, this is in addition to the existing print functionality. The option to save an electronic copy of the definition supports a paperless office.
Small workstation enhancements
When you update to the latest version of EntraPass, you will notice a couple of improvements when launching the system. The product version appears on the upper-right section of the screen and eliminates the need to click into the about section for the information. Additionally, to reduce clicks, after you login, the credential window automatically displays, with the focus on the user name.
Enhanced EntraPass web service
To accommodate circumstances when EntraPass web is installed in a different Internet Information Services (IIS) folder, the operator now controls the link for the welcome e-mails for EntraPass web, EntraPass go, and EntraPass go Install. The operator can make the modifications directly in the GUI. This update also facilitates multiple SmartLink connections, where you can select, which mobile applications to connect to, which SmartLink connection. For more information, see Configuring the SmartLink application.
